Offering experiences, training in rock climbing, mountaineering and gorge walking since 2017. Working with clients of all ages and abilities is what we really enjoy. We offer a range of fun and exciting taster sessions for those new to the sport of climbing or gorge walking - suitable for all ages and abilities. Our climbing and mountaineering training courses promote safe practise and offer participants the opportunity to learn skills in helping them to become more independent walkers, climbers and scramblers. Great Orme Vertical is owned and run by Matt Jones: “Born and raised in Wales, I have been climbing and mountaineering for over 30 years. Both here in North Wales, and throughout the World; and an instructor in both since the 1990s. My career began through a passion for the sport, and the joy of sharing this passion with others. I am proud of the strong reputation that Great Orme Vertical has achieved, and look forward to continuing to deliver stellar outdoor adventures and training”. With a strong Leave No Trace ethic, we maintain a sustainable approach to all aspects of our business.

All specialist equipment is provided free of charge. You will need clothing suitable for being active outdoors. Closed toe footwear is essential for all activities - trainers or walking boots/shoes are ideal.
