Go up in the world on the Great Orme Tramway

The Great Orme Tramway is genuinely unique. Founded in 1902, it’s the only surviving cable-hauled streetcar service in Britain.

Originally steam-powered, the tramway has been electric since 1957, and four cars remain, climbing the Great Orme from Victoria Station on Church Walks throughout the day from April to October.

Enjoy unbeatable panoramic views along the mile long route. There is a cable winding house and exhibition at the halfway point, and the upper terminus is beside the Great Orme Country Park Visitor Centre.
