Llyn Aled coarse fishing lake

About

The deep natural lake of Llyn Aled is located high on the Hiraethog moors. This bleak, but beautiful location at 250ft above sea level can be breezy, but the lake provides good coarse fishing for perch, pike and roach. The shoreline of the 110 acres lake is treeless and the water stained amber by the peaty surrounding moorland and can be boggy in places. Access to the best fishing spots is via the narrow single-track mountain access road from the A543 and near the stream outlet. The nearest facilities and licences are available for purchase from the Llyn Brenig Visitor Centre.
