About

Bodysgallen Hall & Spa, set in 230 acres of private gardens and wooded parkland, is a distinguished Grade 1 17th Century hall enjoying spectacular views that sweep across its formal gardens to Conwy Castle and the majestic Snowdonia mountains.

Steeped in local history, with origins as a lookout tower during the building of Conwy Castle in the 13th Century before becoming a family home through the ownership of Richard Mostyn in the late Elizabethan era.

Here guests can immerse themselves in a quintessential country house experience. Bodysgallen Hall has 31 guestrooms and suites, with 15 located in the main house and 16 cottages in the grounds that have been converted from original outbuildings. These are all decorated in a traditional country house style, furnished with antiques, fine prints and paintings.

In the main house, guests and visitors can enjoy the outstanding restaurant, which has consistently received three AA rosettes for fine dining. Featuring imaginative menus from the award-winning Head Chef, the food is filled with Welsh flavours, fresh local produce and seasonal fruit and vegetables from Bodysgallen Hall’s estate. A traditional Afternoon Tea is served throughout the week.

The restaurant opens onto a grass sun terrace, boasting views across the gardens, which have been recognised for their award-winning restoration. The gardens feature a rare 18th Century parterre of box hedges filled with sweet smelling herbs, natural limestone outcrops, a rockery with cascade, walled gardens, lily pond and several follies. There are also several woodland walks, one of which is the Pydew Village Walk leading to an obelisk located on top of Ffrith Hill.

Guests and visitors can enjoy the fantastic health and leisure facilities at Bodysgallen Spa, where professional therapists offer a range of beauty and wellbeing treatments using products from Aromatherapy Associates, Environ Skin Care and Jessica nails and make up. The Spa houses a large indoor pool, five beauty treatment rooms, spa bath, sauna, steam room and gymnasium. Guests can enjoy light refreshments served in the Club Room and on the terrace on warmer days.

Bodysgallen Hall also offers excellent facilities for weddings, social events and meetings. The Wynn Rooms situated adjacent to the house with a converted 17th Century stable block provide self-contained facilities, with direct access from the car park.

Bodysgallen Hall is now part of the National Trust since 2008 by donation, with all profits benefitting the charity.
