About

This ancient deciduous woodland cloaks the steep valley sides of a tributary of the river Ystrad.

A short circular walk from the nearby village of Groes will enable you to experience the beauty and solitude of the woodland. Access through the wood is via a bridleway which runs along the valley floor following the course of a stream. The woodland is rich in wildlife and is particularly attractive during spring time when spring flowers provide a splash of colour.
